The FTP Manager allows a user to do many different tasks involving ftp accounts. This includes creating ftp accounts, removing accounts, anonymous ftp access, ftp session control, and more.
How to Add FTP accounts:-
Click on the FTP manager on the Cpanel Home Page. Then click on ‘FTP Accounts’ button, then to add an FTP account, click on Add FTP Account. Provide the username and password for the new account. And finally click on ‘Create’ button to create the new FTP account.
How to Remove FTP accounts:-
Click on the ‘FTP manager’ on the Cpanel Home Page. Then click on ‘FTP Accounts’. To remove a FTP account, click on the ‘Delete’ next to the account that you wish to remove. –>
The PASSWORD MAINTENANCE MENU allows you to change the password that you use to access your cPanel interface. Your password should be hard to guess, and changed often.
To access the PASSWORD MAINTENANCE MENU, click on the ‘Change Password’ icon above the words Change Password on the main screen of your cPanel interface. There you will be prompted to enter the old password and the new password. For conformation, the new password should be entered once more in the ‘New Password (again)’ section. Then click the button ‘Change the password now’ button. –>
Domain pointers allow you to ‘park’ additional domain names to your existing hosting account. This will allow users to also reach your website when entering the ‘parked’ domain into their browsers. For example if we have two domains like yourdomainname.com and yourdomainname.net and you have only designed the site for .com only. You can park the yourdomainname.net domain to yourdomainname.com. This means that when a person click the link www. yourdomainname.com or www. yourdomainname.net, the page displayed will be same.
This is known as parking a domain over another.
Addon Domains are domain names that point to subdirectories within your account. You can register a domain name and then use it as a addon domain. It means that both the domains will share the same space. –>
You can using email forwarders to send all email messages that are sent to an account to another account. If you have multiple email accounts, you can use forwarders to send all your mail to one place so you do not have to login to multiple email accounts to check your mail.
You can use autoresponders to send a message back automatically to anyone who sends an email to a certain account. This can be useful for times when you are on vacation or unavailable or if you have a generic message that you wish to send for a support email address.
You can use email filters to send messages to certain places depending on their contents. You can use filters to sort mail between business and pleasure, to delete unwanted mail, or to sort mail in another manner. –>
In order to add or delete mail accounts, we need to login to the Cpanel. The link will be like www.yourdomainname.com/cpanel. Provide your Cpanel username and password. After you login to your Cpanel, click the link ‘Mail’ in the Cpanel Home page.
You will find a link named ‘Manage/Add/Remove Accounts’. Click on that link. The new page will display all the mail accounts of that domain. you can see the ‘Add Account’ button.
Click on that to create a new account. Provide the name of the mail account and then the desired password for that mail account. You can specify the size of the mail account. By default it is 10Mb. To delete an account just click the delete button which you can see at the right side of each email account names. –>
